To use this app at your company, you will need an active subscription . For this we provide a webpage, where you could see the status of your current subscription and could activate it. that is calculated based on the amount of users that are able to use Microsoft Teams. The subscription is tied to your organization and will be payed and managed using the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace.

To visit the page, please navigate threw Azure or use directly the Manage Subscription link in the app.

In the top right corner above the link list part the manage subscription option can be foundmanage the subscription for your organization you can simply click on the link “Manage Subscription“ in the top right corner of a tab.

The “Manage subscription” link leads you directly to the page for managing the subscription of your company.

You can follow instructions at Add Link Spotter to a Team Channel

. Furthermore your administrator has to give you the required permissions to see this link, by adding you to the “Licence Manager“ group. To add a person to this group, please follow the instruction https://communardo.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LINK/pages/1680113665/Subcription+handling#Licence-Manager-group​.

Licence Manager group

For adding a person to the group “Licence Manager”

if you haven’t added Link Spotter to a channel yet.

To provide your company more flexibility in managing subscriptions we have restricted access to that link. Users or Groups that should be able to see that link have to be added to the application role “Licence Manager“ by your Azure AD administrator.

Assign the Licence Manager role

To assign the Licence Manager role to persons or groups you have to navigate to the tab “Enterprise applications“ inside of the your organizations Azure Active Directory. Search now in the tab “All applications” for the app “Link Spotter”.

You should be able to find “Link Spotter” following the steps on the screen below:

After selecting the app , you see all users, which have a specific application assignement under you are able to manage user and group assignments for Link Spotter using the tab “Users and groups“. With Click on the button “Add user/group“ you have the possibility to assign users to the group “Licence Manager”.

To add an user please select the button Clicking on “None Selected“ . Afterwards allows you can to select all the users , or groups which should have the possibility to use the manage subscription option. With the button “Select“ you confirm your selection. Please notice what you can’t select an other role as “Licence Manager”, because there is only this group. To finishing the configuration process click the button “Assign“be able to manage the subscription of your organization.

The role “Licence Manager” should be preselected automatically because it’s the only role available.

You can finish the configuration process by clicking on “Assign“.

It can take up to 30 minutes until this change will be reflected by Link Spotter.
