Starting with version 1.1211.0 24 we have introduced new and exciting AI features to our Document Macro

All SharePoint document macros (when supported) will now contain an Smart Summary button and will allow you include a Smart Assistant action, enabling users to communicate via messages where you could and ask questions related to the documents you have embedded.

The action will be accessible in all view modes for supported file types. When embedding a single document in Link mode, the Smart Assistant button will appear upon hover.

Note: AI features are not available if the administrator has disabled them.

Using the AI

Using the Smart Assistant action will open a new dialog chat where the AI would prompt you what you would like to do with the current document.

You can either use one of the you can send prompts related to the embedded document.

This powerful tool can save a significant amount of time when working with documents. For example, it can be used to summarize and translate documents or extract specific information from them. It can also analyze information displayed in images.

Currently, the AI does not function like a chat, so it will not retain context between the questions you send.

Current limitations

  • Files with more than 128K tokens or a size greater than 20MB cannot be processed.

  • Folders are not supported.

  • We currently support the following file types:

    • Images

    • Text files

    • PDFs

    • Word documents

    • PowerPoint presentations

    • Excel files
