Authenticate to Jira

When the app is used for the first time the user will have to sign into a Jira instance, either Cloud or DC. This ensures that all relevant data can be requested live for the current logged in user in the browser.

The Jira DC button will not appear if you don’t have any Jira DC instance configured.

Sign into Jira Cloud

To login into Jira Cloud, click on the Jira Cloud button.

Consent Jira access

The authentication process will launch a new window where you have to sign-in with your Atlassian account and give consent for the application permissions. Detailed information about the scope of each permission can be reviewed by expanding the according section.

Your are able to revoke these permissions at any time. See Manage your organisation's third-party apps | Atlassian Support for further information.

Switch to another Jira site

In case you have multiple Jira sites available for your account and you want to switch to another site you are able to do so through the “Jira Sites” section in the WebPart edit panel.

Here you can switch between already consented Jira sites, both Cloud and DC.

Add another Jira

In case the site is not consented yet you are able to add another Jira site via the Add another Jira button, which will trigger the sign-in process explained above.

Sign out

If you click on the Logout of Jira button, you will be signed out from every Jira Site currently consented in the SharePoint Connector (both Cloud and DC instances).

No Active License Found

If you see a message to license the product it means that the SharePoint site collection administrator has yet to configure the app for your Jira site. See SharePoint: Activate App License. Until the app is licensed, you will not be able to work properly with the product.
