Communardo releases the Confluence User Profile Plugin 1.5
The Communardo User Profile Plugin for Atlassian Confluence systems is now available to extend the customer-specific user profiles. It supports the opportunity to search for user profiles and show these. The new version 1.5 of the User Profile Plugin got extended by the following features:
Two additional Field Types
By configuring fields in the user profile the administrator has the opportunity to choose Field Types. Field Types affect the display mode and the support of information in these fields.
The field selection got extended by a new type “Userfield” which optimizes the linking from one user profile to another. This is for example useful to show information from the superior of a user in his profile.
This Field Type enables users an easier choice of users in profile fields. Confluence suggests during the user’s input convenient user profiles.
In addition the stored user information that got linked with a user and his further information about him can be shown.
The other new Field Type “Textfield with Autocomplete” suggests user during their profile editing contents which have already been entered by other users. The system offers contents that begin with the same letter. Users have the opportunity to choose from these or to create new contents.
If new contents get entered (e.g. skills: “Confluence”) the system suggests this in the field “Skills” as soon as they begin to type “Co”.
Additional display mode for user profiles
The user profiles get embedded through different Macros in Confluence systems. With Macro {profile} the user profiles can be shown in different levels of detail. The release 1.5 provides a new display mode “namedFields”. This mode allows showing the user profile only with the user profile fields that got configured with that Macro.
Support Confluence 4.2
Of course the new version 1.5 of the Communardo User Profile Plugin supports also Confluence 4.2.
We are sure that the plugin with all these new functions is even better adaptive. More information about the plugin and the release can be found in the Releasenotes and in our Supportportal. On top of that you can try our new release and ask for an evaluation license.
