Sign into Jira Cloud

When you use the app for the first time once you add a Jira Issues and Filter web part it will require the user to sign into their Jira Cloud account before you start using the app. This ensures that the web part can access the relevant data and display it on the page.

Consent Jira access

To start the authentication process, you need to click the sign in button. This will launch a new window where you can review the required permissions and select a site to continue.

To proceed with the authorization process, you need to select one of the available sites from the list. Once you do that, the accept button will become active and you can click on it to confirm your choice.

Note this will give you access only to the Jira site you have selected when authorizing the app.

Await connection response

Once the connection is successful you will see a message which tells you are ready to use the app.

Close connection window

After a successful connection you can close the window. The web part which you have previously added to the page will refresh and you will be ready to add Jira issues.

Start editing web part

To proceed with the setup, you need to edit the web part settings and select the issues you want to show.
