Fine-tuning results is optional, and you can also save the original query without using it. Fine-tuning results could also be achieved by adjusting the JQL filter.

In addition to searching your issues by JQL or basic search you are able to limit the results further. The “fine-tune results” section allows you to pick one or multiple issues from your results.

Please note that the permissions of the current user are taken into account! Only options to which the current user has access will be displayed and selected.

Applying fine-tuned results will change the JQL stored on the web part. The original JQL / search term will be lost after saving the web part configuration! Meaning, after saving the above JQL [project = “Sample Scrum Project”] will be transformed to [issueKey in (KEY-1, KEY-2, …)] and will be saved like that.
