What kind of data can I export/import?

• Space metadata sets (set and field structure)
• Metadata values of chosen sets

It is not possible to export or import

• global metadata sets
• metadata sets with space metadata fields and global metadata fields mixed

How do I export metadata?

1. Go to Space tools > Metadata > Export.
2. Choose at least one space metadata set to export.
3. Confirm with "Start export".

This export will include the chosen space metadata sets and fields.

Optionally, you can check "Export metadata values". The metadata values added to individual pages/blog posts in this space will only be exported, if you check this option.

When the export has been created successfully, click the "Download export" button to download the created .json file directly in your browser.

To leave this screen and start another export, confirm with "Done".

How do I import metadata between spaces with the same space key?

1. Go to Space tools > Metadata > Import.
2. Choose a .json file from your computer to import.
3. Confirm with "Start import".

How do I import metadata from a space with a different space key?

1. Open the .json file you exported and replace all instances of

   "spaceKey":"KEY_FROM_EXPORT_SPACE"

   with

   "spaceKey":"KEY_FROM_IMPORT_SPACE"

2. Save the changes.
3. Go to Space tools > Metadata > Import.
4. Choose the .json file from 1. to import.
5. Confirm with "Start import".
