Live filters

Why Use Live filters in Metadata Report?

The "Add filter" button, integrated within the Metadata Report macro, simplifies your search process by effortlessly allowing you to locate and filter specific values on the table.

Upon inserting the Metadata Report macro, the "Add filter" button appears, enabling dynamic live filtering for your Metadata. By selecting the Metadata field you wish to filter and specifying the exact Metadata value, you can easily live filter the table containing pages within a Content Category.

How to use it?

After inserting the Metadata Report Macro in a page, the Add filter button will be shown above the table. The table below contains information about each project undertaken by an organization.

You'll be seeing this view for the first time, as we introduce our new feature.

Start by clicking the “Add filter” button and select the Metadata field you wish to filter.

You can select from all the Metadata fields of the Contect Category.

Apart from the chosen fields being displayed, Live Filters allow you to filter for non-visible fields that haven't been selected in the first place when configuring the Metadata Report macro

Select a specific Metadata value, such as filtering for projects with an "In progress" status, to display only those entries in the table. To choose a different value, simply click on the "x".

For the Single select field type, the same applies to multi-select, except with Multi select, you can add several options instead of choosing just one.

If you need to filter for more than one specific value, don't worry, we've got you covered. Just click the "Add filter" button again and repeat the same steps. Once you've filtered for projects “In progress”, you can narrow down the "filtered table" even further by searching for a specific manager's name.

To return to the initial state of the table, simply click "X Clear all".

Filtering for Date field type

When filtering for the project deadline (a date field type), you have the option to specify either the starting date, the ending date, or both, depending on the period you are searching for.

For page links, you can start typing and the list of available pages will begin to appear. For example here we are filtering for a specific related project.

Filtering for Text field type

Similarly, you can filter the text field type value by simply typing the desired value you want to filter.

Keep in mind that you must search for the exact same text.
